July 25. Had a lovely stay – especially enjoyed our astronomical experiences in the observatory – expertly guided by Graham. Enjoyed peace, tranquility + beauty for the local area (+ the pool). Aug 25. What a fantastic holiday! Thank you so much to our amazing hosts – Graham and Belinda. You really go above and beyond to make this place and our holiday as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Including providing First Aid on day 2! Thank you! We loved playing in the pool and enjoying your stunning garden. The great selection of games have kept us very entertained – we haven’t played badminton or table tennis for years! Our children loved it here and are leaving as very confident swimmers with beautiful photos taken by Graham. we are already planning our return trip next year. LOVED IT!

Aug 25. Lovely gite, very homely & comfortable feel. Everything we needed catered for in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Uk TV enlightening for our Australian relatives too thank you. Wonderful evening with Graham sky gazing and showing us amateurs his telescope and good explanations for us – very interesting evening. Pool perfect too and again everything catered for. By the way Belinda – your apricot conserve is best we have had!! Sorry to leave, Caroline, Bob, Sue & Alf.

Aug 25. We’ve had a wonderful weeks holiday – Thank you! Something here for everyone whether you want a quiet holiday by the pool or prefer doing lots of activities. We all loved the astrophotography and the star-bathing. Graham’s introduction to astrophotography was great, especially getting to see Andromeda. Chris and Luke really enjoyed the archery and Noah made good use of the table tennis. He also really enjoyed the flight simulator. I think we are going home with a few more hobbies! The gite itself had everything you could possibly need and the welcome pack was lovely. Thanks again for your help with flat car battery, I don’t think our French would have stretched to a trip to the garage unaided! Thanks again to both of you – you’ve created such a welcoming friendly place to holiday and we hope to visit again next year. (I could write more but I’m going to leave it there!). CH

July 24. Another 2 weeks at Berty Gite flies by. Throughly enjoyable. The grounds require an expedition to explore properly. It was a hot fortnight and the pool was just what we needed. July 24. Thank you for the warm welcome and for creating such a wonderful calm and tranquil retreat at Berty Gite. You provided us with everything that we needed for a relaxing holiday. We enjoyed spending time in the pool, relaxing on the comfortable chairs on the patio and taking our meals under the canopy in the garden. You also provided us with many useful tips such as booking the restaurant at the lake and finding parking in Cahors. We can thoroughly recommend Montcuq market and following the history trail. September 24. Outstanding! On balance, the best ever gite we have stayed in for 20 years of holidaying in France. The pool, observatories and solar installation were highlights. Local area and produce lovely. We’ll be back! Kathy, Alun & Jenny, Cheshire.

July 23. Thank you so much for such a warm welcome and an incredibly relaxing stay at your wonderful gite – a little bit of paradise yet so close to so many wonderful things to do. The kayaking from Douelle to Caix is a must – as are the various marchés and night markets. Montcuq is just such a beautiful town and so interesting to visit. We particularly appreciated the thought and care that has gone into ensuring that the gite, pool and gardens met our every need and expectation. We will definitely be back! S, C, D & S, Belfast.

August 23. We have had the most amazing stay at Berty Gite, starting with such a warm welcome on arrival with he goodies and homegrown fruit and vegetables left in the welcome pack for us. The gite has had everything we could have needed – other than really has been like a home away from home. There are endless beautiful places to visit nearby: Sunday visits to the market and bookshop in Montcuq has been a particular favourite as well as Cahors and kayaking on the Lot. However many days have been spent lounging and playing by the pool; plying table tennis, Banangrams or Boggle. Each day has been finished with a barbecue and very competitive croquet match in the garden, which is something we rarely get a chance to do all together as a family when at home. We cannot thank you enough for making our stay as enjoyable as possible and being on hand for any queries and recommendations. We have loved it and hope we will be back! Berty – what a wonderful place to spend out first holiday in 3 years. It’s the best (and most thoughtfully) equipped gite we have ever stayed in. I challenge anyone to find something that hasn’t been thought of and included! And the welcome pack – second to none & very much enjoyed. Graham & Belinda have been excellent hosts, lovely, lovely people. The gite has been blissfully cool in the heatwave & the pool is glorious. We have had an idyllic 2 weeks, loved the area – lots to see and do. We would recommend without hesitation to anyone & would love to return ourselves. P & K, Sale

Has been a fantastic two weeks of peace, sunshine & family time. Had a visit to the local gourmands evening which was a great kickstart to the holiday and would recommend the one at Lauzerte on a Thursday. Montcuq farmer’s market on a Sunday morning is always a pleasure, and a visit to the market at Cahors on a Wednesday. Plenty of places to eat in the area, we had a lovely meal at Hotel de Quercy in Lauzerte, which was very good. The gite was its usual homely self and with the high temperatures of late, the addition of air con was a blessing. Thank you for making our last minute break so enjoyable. We wanted a quiet, relaxing week, and Berty gite gave us that…and more! You were also great hosts, helping us out with emergency supplies on top of the ample welcome pack, making us feel so comfortable in a home from home. We did enjoy our holiday at Berty Gite and it was so good to get away and be able to relax as well as go out and visit places. The countryside is lovely and we really love rural France and we have made some special memories. The weather was glorious but a little hot at times with the heatwave, and the swimming pool was great. It is a lovely area and whilst under unusual times, so glad we did come and whilst it was sad to cut the holiday short by a day, it was the right thing to do. C, M, J & F, Essex

As always – totally wonderful stay. Berty is divine. Garden sublime/ pool fab/ house lovely & G & B delightful as always. Best markets 1) Montcuq, Sunday 2) Prayssac Friday 3) Lauzerte Saturday – Cahors Wednesday & Saturday. Swim in Montcuq plan d’eau is awesome and walks on doorstep stunning. Pilgrims, sunflowers, melons, cherries, stunning / seeing Venus moons courtesy of Graham – all fabulous. Back soon – 5 star love & appreciation xxx	14 years on from first visit and still loving it the same! Absolutely wonderful to be back and found it easy as ever to settle into the Berty way of life! What a fabulous week! Huge thanks to B & G for looking after us so well and for our fab impromptu astronomy session – even saw the ISS pass by. Weather mixed, but perfect for us with pool, trampoline, table footie, badders, table tennis (phew!) – the boys haven’t complained they’ve been bored once! Love the wildlife here, sunflowers, and the peace was special, as was our meal at Vire sur Lot – Le Caillau – well worth a visit for lovely food. We will return next year.	I loved the pool, the sit on mower ride, the chicken and the cats especially ‘Bunny’ (William age 6)Love your house. See you next year (Edward age 5)	A lovely location and friendly and helpful hosts. We are lucky to live in rural Northamptonshire – oilseed rape and undulating countryside. You however have some wonderful extras – quiet country roads, no A road hum. Wonderful light and Hoopoes.
Thank you so much for allowing us all to stay in your lovely gite. The property was so well equipped and the garden magical. You also arranged wall to wall sunshine!	Thank you for a fabulous stay.
